Raw & pure
Our honey is delivered to you just as nature intended - raw, potent and pure. High in amino acids, minerals, vitamins, enzymes, and antioxidants, raw honey provides pain-relieving, antibacterial, and anti-fungal properties.
Honey’s thick and malleable disposition makes it an ideal base for a mixture of herbs. The infusion of two adaptogenic herbs, Rhodiola and Eleuthero, make Gohoney not only delicious, but also a functional daily snack.
Adaptogens are plant species that encourage the body to adapt to diverse forms of physical and mental stress. They may tweak physiological responses to stress to ensure that the body—from the mind to the immune system to energy levels—functions as it should.
Honey contains 40 percent fructose and 30 percent glucose, whereas sugar is a 50/50 mix of fructose and glucose. The remainder of honey consists of water, pollen, minerals, vitamins and flavonoids.
Sugar is higher on the glycemic index than honey, meaning it raises blood sugar levels more quickly. This is due to its higher fructose content and the absence of minerals. Honey is sometimes recommended as a substitute for glucose as a source of energy due to its slow release of fructose. Eleuthero and Rhodiola contribute to maintaining healthy blood sugar levels, making Gohoney an optimized energy source for the body.
Honey contains the following vitamins and minerals: zinc, magnesium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, sodium, selenium, copper, iron, manganese, chromium, Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, C, and K.
